We have all heard the saying “You could not walk a mile in my shoes.” But you can!

On Saturday, Feb. 10, we can all “Walk a Mile in My Shoes” with Dr. Lance Brand, Delta High School science teacher, the National Honor Society members, the Muncie Mission, and many, many more!

Registration Dr. Brand’s goal is for the National Honor Society students, their families, and other DHS students to participate.  He is hoping for 100 or more walkers who can help raise money for the Muncie Mission.

“Just be a part of it, go with your heart,” Dr. Brand said. “Come and walk or come and donate, whichever your heart tells you.”

To join our walking team or make a donation, individuals would go to:
Then join or donate to Team 303- Delta National Honor Society

Check-in is between 8 and 9 a.m. at the Horizon Convention Center in Muncie. This is also the time to pick up your T-shirts and have doughnuts and coffee.

At 9 a.m. the opening ceremony will begin at the Horizon Convention Center. The walk will start after the ceremony and will end at the Muncie Mission.
The community comes together and connects with others and supports the Muncie Mission homeless shelter. For a brief moment participants get a clear understanding what it must feel like to be homeless and in the cold.

DHS team captain for the walk is Dr. Brand, who has done this walk for more than 10 years. He walks with his entire family and his church (High Street United Methodist).

Come out and let’s walk in the shoes of the men of the Muncie Mission!
